Hi, I'm Denise – Sunshine Coast Family Photographer

The day starts with coffee, always coffee, made while the house is still quiet. Little hands eventually find me, and the rhythm of our family life begins. Breakfasts, cuddles, getting dressed, and a thousand questions are asked before I have even properly woken up.

I am Denise, originally from Albuquerque, but over 10 years ago, I moved to Australia, a place that has become home in every way that matters. My world now revolves around my boys, Charlie, George, and Louie and may beautiful husband Ben.

Life with them is loud, beautiful, and completely ordinary in the best possible way. There is always something happening: muddy feet, half-finished snacks, Lego scattered across the floor, and the constant pull between chaos and connection.

We are happiest when we are outside. Bush walks where no one is in a rush, running barefoot and collecting sticks. The boys dash ahead and then circle back, while our beach days are more about sand in everything than perfect plans. These simple adventures don’t need to be grand to feel meaningful.

At home, we indulge in arts and crafts, cook together, and keep coffee close by. The kind of days that may not look like much from the outside—but feel like everything when you are living them.

I have always been drawn to the small things, to those in-between moments that don’t ask to be noticed but end up meaning the most. This affection for capturing life’s fleeting moments led me to intimate family photography.

As a Sunshine Coast photographer, I understand that this season of life with children and family, with all its mess and tenderness, passes quickly. It is all too easy to miss special moments while they are happening.

So, I strive to slow it all down just a little. To capture how your child instinctively reaches for your hand, how you look at them when you think no one is watching, and how families simply are together when they are not trying to be anything other than themselves.

This work is personal to me. It’s not about perfect posing or perfectly curated days. It’s about real, genuine moments. The ones you will want to remember just as they were.
