Family photographs don’t need everyone looking at the camera.
I’ve always been drawn to the little things that happen quietly when no one is thinking about the camera.
Since becoming a mum, I notice them even more.
The way little hands reach for you. The way children laugh when they’re completely themselves. The cuddles, the chaos, the personalities and all the tiny things you never want to forget.
Life moves quickly, and it’s easy to miss these moments while you’re busy living them.
That’s why I photograph families.
Not to create a perfect version of your family, but to capture the real one.
The way you are together right now. Sessions are relaxed and gently guided, with plenty of space for your kids to be themselves.
Family photographs don’t need everyone looking at the camera.
I want to capture your family as you are right now — the cuddles, the chaos, the belly laughs, the little hands reaching for yours and all the moments in between.
Sessions are relaxed and gently guided, with plenty of space for your kids to be themselves.

Your kids don’t need to sit still or smile on cue.
They can run, play, explore, climb, laugh, cuddle and do all the unexpected things children do.
I’ll follow along and capture it as it happens.

Instead, I’ll look for the way you naturally interact with each other. The little looks, the cuddles, the laughs and the moments that happen without being asked.

Send me an enquiry and tell me a little about your family, what you’re looking for and when you’d like to have your session.
We’ll chat about the details and find something that feels right for you.

We’ll choose a location that suits your family and the feel you’re after.
I photograph families across the Sunshine Coast, from beaches and open fields to the hinterland.

I’ll send through everything you need to know before your session, including what to wear and what to bring.
You don’t need to do anything complicated.
Just come as you are.

We’ll take our time and let things unfold naturally.
There’ll be some gentle direction when needed, but plenty of space for your family to simply be together.

After your session, your photographs will be carefully edited and prepared for you to enjoy and keep for years to come.

We might start with a walk, let the kids explore, stop for cuddles, play together or simply spend some time enjoying being outside.
If your kids need a little time to warm up, that’s completely fine too.
I’ll watch what’s happening, gently guide when needed and look for the moments that feel like you.
Some photographs will be beautiful portraits.
Others might be messy, silly, unexpected or completely unplanned.
That’s exactly what I love about family photography.

I love when everyone looks like they belong together without everyone wearing the same colour.
Choosing a colour palette is an easy way to make your photographs feel cohesive while still letting everyone’s personality come through.
Think about choosing 3–5 colours that work well together, rather than trying to match every outfit.
Soft earthy tones, warm browns, creams, muted greens, dusty blues, soft pinks and warm neutrals all photograph beautifully. You can mix lighter and darker shades within the same palette to create a little more depth.
For example, you might choose:
Warm & earthy
Cream, tan, rust, olive and brown
Soft & natural
Cream, beige, sage, dusty blue and warm grey
Warm & colourful
Terracotta, mustard, cream, olive and soft pink
Coastal
White, sand, soft blue, sage and beige
You don’t need everyone to wear the same colours. Instead, choose colours that sit nicely together and repeat them throughout the outfits.
Textures like linen, knitwear, denim and cotton can also add interest without taking away from the people and connection in your photographs.
Most importantly, choose clothes that feel comfortable and like you. There’s no need to dress your family in something they wouldn’t normally wear.
You could feature:
Point Cartwright
Wide beaches, golden light and room for kids to explore.
Maleny
Rolling hills, greenery and beautiful soft light.
Beerwah
Open fields and mountain views.
Mudjimba
A quieter beach with plenty of space.
Noosa
Beach, sand and beautiful coastal light.
Glass House Mountains
Open landscapes and iconic views.

Some children jump straight into a session. Others need a little time to warm up. Some run in the opposite direction the moment they see the camera.
That's okay.
I'll never force a child to participate. We'll give them space, let them explore and find ways to bring them into the session naturally.
Relaxed family photography for families who want honest, natural photographs that feel like them.

The little hands. The messy hair. The way they still reach for you.
These are the things that change before we realise they're changing.
Let's remember them.
